Electroform intermediate parts made of real silver
These electroform parts are made in an elaborate process:
Each piece is modeled after a natural form or cut stone. To do this, an impression of the object is first taken, a mold is created, and a negative is cast.
In the next step, this negative is duplicated as a wax mold and then thickly coated with pure silver.
The subsequent melting out of the wax creates the hollow silver molds, which are then polished and/or satin-finished and then silver-plated and gold-plated.
This process allows the detailed reproduction of the stone molds and the production of very large, but also very light hollow molds.
