The Chinese name of the mineral Smoky Quartz is "Tea Quartz", which nicely describes its transparent brownish coloration. Other well-known synonyms are "Osiris Crystal" and "Colorado Diamond". Smoky Quartz looks particularly noble with gold-plated intermediates, e.g. worked into a necklace with matching earrings, as well as in combination with Rock Crystal.
The modern stone medicine according to Michael Gienger knows the Smoky Quartz as a classic "anti-stress stone", which has a balancing effect in case of great stress and increases the resilience. The gemstone is also important as a relaxation stone.
