Eclipse is an ideal stone for winter, when nature slowly becomes quiet and still and the outer life comes to a standstill. In this reflective time, knowledge and insights can grow, answers are sought and found. The question of the meaning of life and the creative power moves to the end of the year in the center of thought.
The colorful eclipsestone, which is also called Bumblebee Jasper because of its colorfulness, is the ideal companion for the end of the year, because it can dissolve the clinging to rigid patterns of thought and behavior. Thus, we can conclude with these and leave them behind with the old year. Vitality and performance are enhanced and we can look forward to the time ahead and the new year with elation and happiness.
The mineral Eclipse is formed at volcanic steam outcrops as a fine-grained deposit of yellow auric pigment (arsenic sulfide) on dark limestone (aragonite). Chemical formula/mineral class: auripigment: As2S3, sulfides + aragonite: CaCO3, carbonates as well as volcanic ash and manganese and iron oxide. Main supplier country is Java (Indonesia) Since ancient times, auripigment has been used as a dye and healing agent.
Nowadays it is used as eclipse (auripigment lime) due to its interesting drawings in yellow-orange and black mainly as jewelry stone, e.g. drilled cabochon. Before cutting, the rough stones are impregnated to prevent unwanted substances from escaping. Therefore, wearing it as a piece of jewelry is harmless. Auripigment is poorly soluble in water and therefore not toxic in its pure, well-crystallized state. It is also sparingly soluble in acids and is not decomposed in the stomach by gastric acid.
CAUTION: Eclipse is not suitable for the preparation of Gemstone Water by the insertion of rough stones. In this case, for example, the test tube method or the induction method should be used. The stone should not be used as a play stone for children. Eclipse is also sold as "Bumblebee Stone" or "Bumble Bee Jasper" or "Mustard Stone".
